The unique style and design of our products are sure to make a statement in any home. Everything created is meticulously crafted to highlight each part of wood's unique features and nothing is created from a mold or template. Each piece is 100% unique in it's design.

Quality Wisconsin Timber

Hardwood products have a combination of beauty and durability that cannot be matched by any type of engineered wood. The wood that we source comes from the finest Wisconsin timbers. This top quality material will ensure that your pieces last a lifetime and will be tough enough to resist deterioration.

Locally Sourced Material

Local businesses are essential for our economy. Valley View Woodworks sources all material from other local businesses, helping to bring growth and innovation to our community. By sourcing local woods, we preserve the health of your local forests by thinning out older trees so that new ones have opportunities to grow.

Charcuterie Boards

Who doesn’t like a good charcuterie board? These boards have many great uses that can easily be customized with a range of delicate cheeses, meats, and fruits and has been around for hundreds of years. It wasn't until recently that America has picked up on the trend. That is why we gladly make a large variety of woods and styles of these unique boards.

Charcuterie Board: Proper Cleaning and Washing 1 Wash your charcuterie board with soap and warm water, 2 After Washing the board, dry immediately with a towel, 3 Let it air dry standing up or on a raised rack with air flow. Do not...Put the board in the dishwasher- the heat and water will warp and splinter the wood, which will void your warranty.  Only plastic, composite or glass boards can go into the dishwasher.Dunk or let the

French Pastry Rollers

Our pins are French-style: a solid wooden cylinder that's slender in diameter with no handles. This shape enables the baker to have full control. When using a French pin, pressure is applied directly to the pin and from the pin to a dough, which allows for close contact with the dough and maximum command of pressure.  Driving a French pin is like steering a well-tuned sports car.

Specialized Work

Wood working is much more than just my job; it is my passion. That is why I offer a range of services that can enhance any home, business, or space. Many of the pieces I work with are live edge and burl slabs for dining tables, vanities, bar tops, quarter sawn charcuterie boards, serving trays, French pastry rollers, and sliding barn doors,

Our Specialty is in The Pattern

We use a special technique when cutting the wood pieces to make our products. This sawing technique is called a Quarter Rift cut.
Quarter sawn is when the trees growth ring is cut at a 90 degree angle to the face of the board, this creates a speckling appearance by displaying the rays of the trees "water system".  The resulting boards easily lend themselves to striking design choices and, in white and red oak, you’ll notice the most dramatic flecking.  Quarter sawn lumber exhibits almost no twisting, warping and cupping making this type of cut extremely stable. It is also more resistant to moisture penetration and less prone to surface checking and raised grain.
Rift sawn is when the trees growth rings are cut at a 45 degree angle to the face of the board. This creates a clean and linear look with straight lines.  This style has little no flecking patterns and is the most unique in it's consistent visual look of long and straight grain patterns. This cut is generally the choice for fine woodworkers looking for consistent patterns throughout their design.
These are specialty cuts that are uncommon and highly desired which is why we are proud to saw these Quarter Rift cuts.

The Process

  • The process begins with the raw wood. I visit local Wisconsin lumber businesses to find the highest quality pieces available.
  • The piece of wood is then planed and seasoned to obtain a texture which is favorable for carving.
  • Designs are then drawn by free-hand onto the wood with a pencil.
  • Edges are then carved or routed, and then hand sanded,
  • Depending on the product- different pieces of carved wood are joined together to make complete products.
  • Finally, a protective coating is applied with a suitable wood finish to complete the project.

Service Areas

Hi, I'm Jeremey

I'm a craftsman from Southwestern Wisconsin. I grew up on a farm and developed an appreciation for wood in it's most natural form.
My story begins in high school when I began taking wood shop classes.  I started with woodturning which then led to creating artistic pieces with my hands. It was an amazing experience which has led me to where I am today.
I love working with people to achieve those "WOW" factor pieces that showcase the beauty of wood in it's variety of forms. My main focus for is to provide you with high quality, small-to-medium custom designed furniture, home décor, and specialty wood products such as live edge table tops, coffee tables, quarter sawn cutting boards, serving trays, French rolling pins, barn doors, and a wide variety of wood sets.
